New to Hummers and looking for info on H3's

Howdy,

I'm new to Hummers in general but, I'm currently looking at getting a good, semi-fuel efficient and reliable 4x4.

I had been thinking of a Toyota FJ Cruiser until I read about some of the mechanical issues they're having with clutch throw-out bearings, etc.

I was curious how you folks would rate the Hummer H3 against an FJ Cruiser and what common issues the H3 might have (if any)?

Also, what is the typical mileage one can expect to get out of an H3 engine? 100,000 miles, 200,000 miles?

So far, I've heard that the H3 is underpowered (according to the auto review mags). But, I'm not really looking for a high-powered truck either.

I need something that I can commute every day with, that gets fairly good gas mileage, and that can go off-road if needed. Nothing hard-core, just logging roads and maybe a good driver in snow.
