Daytime Running Lights

I have noticed some H3's driving around with their clearence lights on as Daytime Running Lights. My H3 has the headlights on as Daytime Running Lights. Anyone know how to switch between headlight and clearance lights for daytime running?

I drive with my clearance lights sometimes like that. I just turn the switch from auto to clearence lights. I tend to drive more that way and keep my fogs on as well. I like the way it looks.

Is there any advantage, other than aesthetics, to driving with the clearance lights on?

I know that vehicles drive with day-lights for safety reasons, but does this apply to clearance lights?
