Smile New H3 Owner

Hello. I just wanted to say hello. I bought a 2006 white H3 last week and have loved it so far. My fiance has taken it from me so I may have already lost it. She is crazy about it.
We decided on a new SUV when trading in my X5. Everyone kept warning me about 30 inch snows here in the mountains where I have moved.
I like the H3 but do have some complaints (in hope that GM is eavesdropping) The brake and gas pedal are way too close together. I have already had 2 scary moments because my shoe got caught on the back of the brake pedal when coming off the gas pedal to brake.
We have put about 1,000 miles on it so far. The most often asked question we get concerns the gas mileage. Everyone is shocked when we say 19-20mpg.
Anyway, hope to take in a Hummer event next summer as we are not too far from Indiana. I enjoy the forum information. Thanks.

I find it funny that I have the same complaint about the pedals as well. I thought I had fat feet

Not much of a problem, I never seem to find it at home. My wife considers it hers now...

Well I guess we are all in the same boat. The pedal is to close and my wife has become like an over protective mother with her kid in danger when I try to take it out. LOL

It is a great truck and I love the way it drives.

I'm yet to drive an H3, although the closeness of the pedals as you all describe scares me. That's a very major flaw, potentially fatal. I can't think of a worse thing to do in a motor-vehicle by accident than mistake the brake peddle with the gas peddle, or vice versa. Imagine being on a crowded highway and accidentally pushing swiftly on the break by mistake. Imagine pulling into a driveway/garage and accidentally gassing the Hummer into your house.

Brake Pedal - No problem

I have had my H3 for about 3 months now and have experienced no problems with the pedals, even when driving in boots. Anyone who has driven Italian cars before should find the H3 easy.

Get that thing on the trail! The fender flares are relatively cheap if you scar one and you'll be amazed at the places this truck can take you and your family if you just air down and engage the locker. Don't be afraid of a little dirt and most scratches will rub out.
