Help Chime volume too loud with new radio

I have a 2006 H3 that we bought new and had the radio replaced about 8 months ago. When we got the vehicle back the chime alarms (door open, key in ignition etc) was a lot louder than what it orginally was at. It's almost painful to hear it. We took it back to the dealer and they said there is no adjustment and it is what it is. Does anyone know if this is the case?
